Qatar Petroleum International (QPI) was a shareholder in a number of businesses, including South Hook Gas. At QPI, I was responsible for promoting the company’s brand globally and ensuring that the companies we invested in were representing our interests in their local markets.

Daniel did a great job of building a solid reputation for South Hook Gas within the energy sector. As I was based in Qatar, Daniel actively supported me in my role by facilitating meetings with UK ministers, parliamentarians, officials and journalists and provided background briefing materials not just for our CEO, but also for Qatari ministers and other dignitaries visiting the UK.

One particularly important event for us was when Daniel helped organise for our CEO to be guest of honour at a reception at the Houses of Parliament with key politicians, officials and industry partners in attendance. This platform helped boost awareness not just of QPI and South Hook Gas but also of our other interests in the UK.

It was a pleasure working with Daniel. The trust that we developed between us meant that I was always confident that the reputation of both South Hook Gas and QPI were in safe hands.
